Robert Laregina Jr., 20, was arrested at his home on Thursday, March 9, and charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, a misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
According to Putnam Sheriff Donald B. Smith, Laregina Jr. was accused of selling marijuana to a deputy working with the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit.
Laregina Jr. was booked and released on his own recognizance.
He is scheduled to appear in Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court on Thursday, March 30.
If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, Laregina Jr. could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.
